1. Introduction

Welcome to Pixmion, a trading name of BYPASSHIRE LIMITED (company number 15981770, registered at Unit A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Suffolk, IP28 7DE) ("we", "us", "our"). Pixmion is a UK vehicle history check service that provides vehicle history reports to help buyers make informed decisions when purchasing a used vehicle.

By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the service.

2. Service Description

Pixmion provides vehicle history reports sourced from the DVLA, the DVSA, and third-party data providers. For full details on our data sources, see our Data Sources page. Our reports may include:

  • Vehicle registration details (make, model, colour, engine size, fuel type).
  • MOT history (via DVSA) including test dates, results, mileage readings, and advisories.
  • Tax status.
  • Outstanding finance checks.
  • Insurance write-off records.
  • Stolen vehicle checks.
  • Mileage discrepancy analysis.
  • Scrapped vehicle records.
  • Number plate change history.
  • Import/export history.

Reports are delivered as digital content viewable within your account in your web browser, immediately after purchase. Each report includes an AI-powered plain-English analysis, generated using OpenAI, to help you understand the key findings at a glance.

Technical requirements: Reports are digital content viewable in your web browser. You need a modern web browser with JavaScript enabled and an active internet connection. No additional software is required.

Important: Pixmion is not a mechanical inspection.

Our reports are based on data held in external databases and do not constitute a physical examination of the vehicle. Pixmion does not provide legal advice, financial advice, or any guarantee of a vehicle's condition. We always recommend combining a Pixmion report with a professional in-person inspection before purchasing any vehicle.

The AI-powered analysis is provided as a helpful summary only and does not constitute professional advice. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, misinterpretations, or omissions. You should always review the underlying data presented alongside the AI summary and verify important findings independently before making any purchase decision.

3. User Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our service.
  • You can create an account in two ways: (a) with your email address and a password you choose, or (b) by signing in with Google. If you register with email and password, you must confirm your email address before signing in. If you use Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
  • When you create an account you must agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Notice. We record the version you accept and the date you accepted it.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and must not share your login credentials.
  • Your account stores your search history and generated reports for future access.
  • You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us at [email protected].
  • You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account or any breach of security.

4. Payment Terms

  • Pixmion operates on a per-check credit pricing model. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges. Purchased credits remain valid for as long as your account is active and BYPASSHIRE LIMITED continues to operate the service, subject to the account inactivity policy below.
  • Account inactivity: If your account remains inactive for 12 consecutive months, we reserve the right to close your account upon 30 days' prior written notice to your registered email address. Any unused credits will be forfeited upon account closure.
  • All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details at any point.
  • BYPASSHIRE LIMITED is not currently registered for VAT. Prices shown are the total amount payable.
  • Refund policy: Because reports are digital content delivered immediately (see Section 4a below), there is no change-of-mind cancellation right once delivery has begun with your consent. However, if a report fails to generate or is genuinely defective — meaning it is not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — you are entitled to a full refund. 4a. Digital Content & Cancellation

Our reports are digital content within the meaning of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. By purchasing a report, you:

  • (a) request and consent to immediate delivery of the digital content; and
  • (b) acknowledge that once delivery has begun you lose your right to cancel under the 14-day cooling-off period (Regulation 37).

This does not affect your right to a remedy if the digital content is faulty (see Section 4, Refund policy).

5. Acceptable Use

Permitted Use

Pixmion is intended for personal vehicle research before purchase. You may use the service to check the history of vehicles you are considering buying.

Prohibited Use

You must not:

  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to scrape or access the service.
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit our reports without written permission.
  • Use the service for any fraudulent, illegal, or harmful purpose.
  • Attempt to circumvent any security measures or access restrictions.
  • Use data from our reports to create, contribute to, or populate any database, directory, index, or mailing list.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without notice if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All report content, website design, branding, and software are the intellectual property of BYPASSHIRE LIMITED and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

You may save, download, and print reports for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written consent.

7. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability

  • The information in our reports is sourced from third-party databases. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free.
  • A clear report does not guarantee that a vehicle has no issues — it means no issues were found in the databases we checked at the time of the search.
  • Pixmion does not include a data guarantee or insurance product. We do not offer financial compensation if information in a report later proves to be incomplete or inaccurate due to limitations in the underlying data sources.
  • Pixmion is not a substitute for a professional vehicle inspection. We strongly recommend having any vehicle physically inspected by a qualified mechanic before purchase.
  • Limitation of liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific report in question.
  • Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
  • Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable UK consumer legislation.

8. Privacy

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email. We will give at least 30 days' notice of any material changes before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

Where we make material changes, we may ask you to review and accept the updated Terms and Privacy Notice the next time you sign in before you continue using the service.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or in the courts of your domicile if you reside in Scotland or Northern Ireland. If you are acting as a business, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
